I have the phone and use mobile accessibility. Some things work and some don't. Remember mobile accessibility is a suite of apps. It can also be used as a screen reader outside the suite however there are some limitations. The suite of works fairly well although I have not gotten the e-mail app or the where am I app to work. It's certainly a good start and something that makes android a bit more friendly.

hmm... I want to put my 2 cents here or a question if you may. If a phone is totally touch screen can a person still use the android OS? I am consittering changing the OS on my HD2 to android 2.2.

from my understanding with the new code factory product u could only use the aps part of the product not the screen reader part itself. Thats why they recommend a device with a keyboard and a trackpad

To use any Android device with either MA, Talkback, or Spiel, you need to have a trackpad or some accessible form of navigation.

Hi Rob,

One application I know of is called textRact.
allows to OCR an image either from the galary or by taking it with the camera.

A downside to this app is that it would have to contact some server for the OCR to be done.
However, its stil in beta, and who knows what may change in future versions.

Regards,
